68th Anniversay of the Link-Up between the U.S. 69th Infantry Division and Soviet 58th Guards on April 25, 1945 in Torgau, Germany

Commemorate the 68th anniversary of the link-up
of the U.S. 69th Infantry and the Soviet 58th Guards Divisions on April 25, 1945 in Torgau, Germany at a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. on April 25, 2013.


The Russian Embassy invites the public to join them in honoring the "East Meets West" principals Lt. Bill Robertson, 1st Battalion, 273rd Infantry Regiment and Lt. Alexander Silwaschko at Lt. Robertson's gravesite.


There are two ways to attend:

  1. Simply be at Lt. Roberston's gravesite by 10 o'clock AM EST.
  2. Inform the Russian Embassy that you will attend. Then, be at the Russian Embassy by 9 o'clock AM EST. Provide your name and the names of those attending in your group.
  3. The Russian Embassy will host a reception after the gravesite ceremony.
